When I was growing up my mom was always making something. Whether she was painting with watercolors or sewing curtains, I was interested. If she let me help her with one of her projects I was overjoyed! Her dad had always taught her not to be afraid of learning a new skill. He said to just jump in and give it a try.

So, when I saw a beautiful teddy bear that a friend had made, I decided to give it a try. My first attempts were far from beautiful, but I was having alot of fun! Before long I had started designing original bears and had begun selling some of them. Debonaire Bears was born.

I love experimenting with new techniques, and I am constantly striving for excellence in my bear-making.
